Alliance Leveling Guide – Quick Tips for Leveling Fast in WoW
Leveling can be difficult at times. If you played back in the days of a 60 cap, you remember what a pain that felt like. Then when you had to level to 70, it was another tough push. Now the cap has moved to 80, and you need a way to get there fast so you can get the gear to run all of the good raids, instead of getting stuck running random heroics all day. To help you out, I've put together this quick Alliance Leveling Guide with tips to help get you leveled to 80 as fast as possible.
Alliance Leveling for Levels 1-22
Your first 1-12 levels will be in your starting zone. Grind through any quest you can find as quick as you can. If this isn't your first character, you'll fly through it. No matter the race, most people will go to Westfall next. It has a ton of quests, and a questline that leads to some decent beginning gear from Deadmines.
Around level 18 or so, you can move on to Redridge mountains. Do any easy quests you can get, because you'll level up quickly. Skip Stonewatch, however, because they can be tougher, just leading to wasted time running back to your body after failing.
Leveling from Level 22-40
From 22-30, depending on where you're most comfortable, head over to Wetlands and Menethil Harbor or Ashenvale. When you get to an area, go to the major town and pick up each and every quest. Try to run through them in an order that will minimize travel and maximize leveling.
Next is a goldmine of quests; Stranglethorn Vale. Pick up as many quests as you can from the expedition, and knock out those chains as quick as you can. You can stay here till around level 40+, as you head further south to do more quests, ending up in Booty Bay. If you're on a PVP server, you may avoid STV to stay away from the ganking. If you're on a PVP server, try heading to Badlands and Searing Gorge for questing. You're near Gnomeregan, and there's usually fewer horde there now so Alliance players shouldn't have too many problems.
Levels 40-60 - Getting to the Outlands
Once you hit level 43 or so, head out to Tanaris. There's plenty of questlines here, places to grind, and you're right near an instance. It's a great place to go for another 7 levels, until you can go into Un'Goro Crater. Head to the north to the encampment and pick up all the quests there. At 55, head down to Silithus or Winterspring. Both places are loaded with quests to get you to outlands.
Alliance Leveling from Level 60
Congrats on getting to Outlands. Head through the portal and in Hellfire Peninsula. From here, you can work your way through Outlands and Northrend pretty easily. The quests will keep sending you to the right places. Just make sure you grab and complete all quests in a zone before moving on to get the most experience and gold.
These have been good leveling paths from my experience.
